Ben Franklin Bridge lights mark five major events
June brings the official start of summer, but that’s about the only occasion that won’t be marked with lights on the Ben Franklin Bridge. The lights will change colors a handful of times this month to mark five major events.
Here’s what to watch for, according to the Gloucester County Times:
June 1 – June 5: blue lights for the Badges of Honor 5k Walk/Run to honor fallen police officers and support their families
June 11 – June 12: rainbow lights for Philadelphia Pride Weekend
June 14: red, white and blue lights for Flag Day
June 21: blue lights for Father’s Day
June 24 – July 4: red, white and blue lights for the Wawa Welcome America Celebration
