Beau Biden “making progress” after mild stroke

    The son of Vice President Joe Biden is recovering at a Philadelphia hospital after suffering a mild stroke on Tuesday.

    Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden “continues his favorable progress” according to a statement released by the Delaware Department of Justice.

    Biden suffered a mild stroke on Tuesday and was rushed to Christiana Hospital in Newark.  He was transported to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia Tuesday afternoon.  The DOJ statement also says that Biden “will continue to follow standard protocol and receive medical therapy over the coming days, as is typical for any patient recovering from an event like this.”

    Biden was visited by his father, Vice President Joe Biden, earlier today.
