‘Bathroom bomber’ headed to trial

A man accused of demolishing a tavern bathroom with an M100 has been ordered to stand trial.

Douglas Charles Ferrin, 51, of Bridge Street in Phoenixville, couldn’t get his bail lowered by a district magistrate and remains in jail in lieu of $75,000 cash bail, reported the Daily Local News.

According to authorities, Ferrin got angry when he was refused service at Molly Maguire’s Pub on March 12. So he went home and grabbed an M100, which he planted in the toilet. The resulting blast destroyed the toilet and heavily damaged the bathroom. No one was seriously injured.
