Atlantic City mother Danielle Scott wasn’t going to be able to give her children Christmas gifts this year. And it didn’t look like the family would be winning a Christmas gift giveaway contest. But WNBA player Charde Houston stepping in to help.
Houston learned of the family’s strugglies through the city’s Youth Advocate Office, which the Scott family frequents, according to a Press of Atlantic City report. Touched by their story, Houston’s nonprofit, Youth Opportunities Unlimited, supplied the Scott children with gifts that YOU collected through social media donations.
Houston currently plays ball in Slovakia.
