‘Autumn’ mural to be lost to development

Plan Philly reports that David Guinn’s ‘Autumn’ mural in the Bella Vista neighborhood of South Philly, has lost its last bid for preservation. As Peter Crimmins reported last month, the adjacent parking lot had been purchased by a developer who intended to build a single-family dwelling on the lot, blocking the mural. According to Plan Philly, despite neighborhood opposition, the zoning variance that had been holding up construction has now been granted.
