Art group has plan for A.C. utility boxes

In Philadelphia, South Street’s Big Belly trash cans are wrapped with artwork.

In Atlantic City, the Arts Commission is eyeing utility boxes for a more creative purpose.

The group wants to turn about 100 of the metal boxes in works of art, according to the Press of Atlantic City, and is taking design applications. People can submit up to four designs, and are encouraged to represent the city’s diversity.
