Arrest made in murder of man found in burning car

Authorities have announced an arrest in the death of a man found in a burning car in north Philadelphia a few blocks from a shooting hours earlier.

Police say 21-year-old Antonio Rosario is charged with homicide in the death of 24-year-old Raffael Rivera, whose body was found in a car on fire in the Olney section of the city on Wednesday night.

After crews extinguished the blaze, investigators identified the body as that of Rivera and said he had multiple gunshot wounds.

Witnesses told investigators that a man had been shot four hours earlier nearby.

Police said an argument is believed to have been the motive for the slaying.

A listed number for Rosario couldn’t be found Friday and it was unclear whether he had an attorney.
