Specter poked a little fun at himself, and at his Democratic and Republican colleagues, Washington politics, and the current crop of Republican presidential candidates. It was a playful set that the crowd seemed to enjoy.
Specter said it wasn’t his first time to take the stage. He had once participated in a show at an improv comedy club in Washington. And he joked that, being a politician, he’s actually been in comedy for 30 years.
