Archdiocese of Philadelphia announces Catholic Charities fundraising initiative

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia today will announce its 2012 Catholic Charities fundraising effort.

The diocese calls it “the single greatest fundraising initiative in the Archdiocese supporting Catholic Charities.”

Bishop John McIntyre will join local well-known Catholics at 2 p.m. at Mercy Hospice for the announcement. The appeal funds Catholic Social Services programs like senior centers, hospices, soup kitchens and educational programs for disabled children.
