Archbishop Charles Chaput of Philadelphia is taking a stand in support of all immigrants in the Philadelphia region.

The Archbishop called for people not to demonize those who came to this country with good intentions.  His comments came in his weekly column to Catholics in the Delaware Valley.  He called for understanding and support to combat the strife and anxiety felt by immigrants from all nations after weeks of uncertainty due to executive orders from President Donald Trump.

He called for Bishops to support sweeping immigration reform to clarify what he called “complex” immigration issues.
