Serafin String Quartet performs for Opening Night of this new Arts & culture Series! For this inaugural program, the Serafins will be joined by noted pianist, Charles Abramovic and outstanding bassoonist, Eric Stomberg. The concert features an all-time favorite, the Schumann Piano Quintet, the first string quartet written by Beethoven (Op. 18#3), and works from the Serafins’ upcoming recording project, scheduled for release in 2012 by Naxos, featuring the early chamber works for strings by Pulitzer Prize and Grammy Award winning composer Jennifer Higdon. On Earth Day, 2012, the Rehoboth Art league will host Delaware’s first satellite event to the USA Science and Engineering Festival. Attendees will tackle fun art explorations to unleash the real world power of art and creativity in hands-on innovation.
