Apple app prepares Catholics for real-life confession

Feeling a bit guilty but don’t want to spill your guts to your parish priest? There’s an app for that, naturally. Three guys in South Bend, Ind., teamed up with some priests to create an app that prepares you for confession.

Philly.com reviewed the app, which lets users choose from the 10 Commandments or detail their own “custom” sins, which they can then bring into their church confessional and receive a penance from a priest. Funny, we thought cell phone use in church was frowned upon.

The $1.99 app is password protected and works with Apple products. Feels like charging for a church service might qualify as a sin itself.
