Anticipating a return to Downton Abbey

    The new season of “Downton Abbey” has a lot of people buzzing. We received a letter containing a poem from WHYY viewer Bob Sigmund, who lives in Delaware. It was something that we had to share.

    Folks whom I know to be quite savvy

    Have all tuned in to Downton Abbey.

    But unfortunate events, such as the Titanic and World War I caused a challenging transition.

    And when the loss of failed Canadian Railroad stocks threatened the Crawly way of life,

    It’s Lady Mary and Mathew overcoming their differences that save the family from ruin and strife.

    So to find out the fates of the Dowager Countess, Branson, Carson, and Mrs. Hughes, along with O’Brian, Thomas, Daily and Mrs. Patimore….
