Another fine beach weekend on tap

    The stretch continues.

Another stellar beach weekend is almost here.

And with schools now closed and Independence Day next Friday, the annual surge in coastal community population begins today.

Beachgoers can expect sunny skies, temperatures in the middle to upper 70s, and a light onshore wind all weekend.

The surf will be around one to two feet both days, according to magicseaweed.com. With an onshore flow, there is moderate risk of rip currents Friday, according to the National Weather Service. Since onshore winds will continue all weekend, beware of rip current formation. They can form at anytime, so always swim near a lifeguard.

But will it be warm enough to swim? That depends on your tolerance for cooler water.

The ocean temperature is 65.3 degrees in Atlantic City Friday afternoon, according to NOAA. But it varies from beach to beach.
