Annual ‘Rocking the Ridge’ car show comes to Roxborough

The Roxborough Ridge Runners Car Club held their annual car show, “Rocking the Ridge,” on Saturday.

From fiery red Camaros to elegant Masseratis, the cars parked on both sides of a long city block with hoods and trunks open for interior view. With a few exceptions the vast of the cars were American designed and American made.

John Davis Sr., the president of the Roxborough Ridge Runners Car Club was very enthusiastic about the turn out and was proud to announce that this year amongst other donations — such as to Police Athletic Academy, 21st Ward Little League and more — they donated $1,500 to Gorgas Park, where the event was hosted.

“Giving back to the community — that is what this car show is all about” he said.
