Announcing the winner of our NewsWorks tonight music contest

And we have a winner! Congratulations to our NewsWorks Tonight music contest winner, B.C. Camplight.

The band was one of more than 25 contestants to submit original pieces of music for use as the theme for our new radio program, NewsWorks Tonight.

Led by Brian Christinzio, the band has become well-known in Philadelphia and overseas since its 2005 debut. Bandmates Josh Olmstead, Dave Hartley, Mike Kennedy and Robbie Bennet lent their talents to the NewsWorks Tonight theme, which you can hear right here, and every night on our show.

Choosing the music was a difficult process, but we felt B.C. Camplight’s submission best matched the mood and pace we’re looking for on our show.
