About 2,000 Suez water customers in northern Delaware can resume using their tap water without boiling it.

The boil water advisory was issued Wednesday morning following a water main break that the company said drained an entire water tower and lowered water pressure for customers north of Wilmington.

In a post on the company’s Facebook page, officials said laboratory tests on the water determined that the water was safe and there are no health risks associated with drinking the water straight from the tap.

The water main break happened in an off road area near Bellevue.
