Advice for the gifted in government

    If you’re old enough to remember when several Philadelphia judges were caught accepting Christmas envelopes of cash from the roofers union, you’ll appreciate the holiday advisory issued by the good government group Committee of Seventy.

    They’ve issued a plain-language reminder on what city employees can and can’t accept in the way of gifts, food, spirits, etc. Believe it or not, different kinds of city employees have different rules.
