Additional charges for alleged Society Hill attacker

Authorities have filed additional charges against the man arrested for attacks that took place earlier this month in Society Hill.

Willie Wyche was arrested after Philadelphia detectives released surveillance video of him, and he’s been charged assaults on women in the neighborhood.

Information released today by the District Attorney’s office says Wyche will face attempted murder, aggravated assault, simple assault, burglary and other related charges for the July 16 assault he’s already been linked to.

Several women reported being attacked between late June and mid-July. They were grabbed from behind on the street in most cases, then choked and robbed of their belongings.
