Abington residents form anti-discrimination ordinance

After Abington commissioners voted Thursday to reject and anti-discrimination measure, a group of residents formed the Abington ADD.

The Abington Anti-Discrimination & Defamation group was formed in response to the vote. The proposed ordinance would have set up a township human relations commission to deal with discrimination claims related to LGBT issues, the Glenside News Globe Times Chronicle reports. It was rejected by a 10-5 vote for specific language.
