A new ‘Autumn’ for Catharine Street

Back in June, Eyes on the Street reported that muralist David Guinn was working on new designs for an fall-themed mural for Bella Vista, developed after the neighborhood lost his 2001 Autumn mural to development.

David dropped me a line Monday to say that the design for his new mural, planned for one of Fleisher Art Memorial‘s walls overlooking Palumbo Park, was approved by near-neighbors and Mural Arts. David was kind enough to share the mock-up of the mural (above) with us. As promised, Guinn kept the fall theme, but this piece is a very different interpretation of autumn than Guinn’s earlier pixelated/pointillist Autumn mural at 9th and Bainbridge.

David said as soon as some site prep is complete the scaffolding will go up and work on the mural will begin.
