A glance at local LOVE Your Park efforts

A handful of Roxborough High students helped to plant five new cherry trees at Gorgas Park this Saturday.

It was part of the citywide LOVE Your Park effort, which kicked off National Earth Week.

More than 100 groups throughout the city signed up to mulch, plant, paint and prune trees at their local park.

NewsWorks’ Max Matza snapped these photos of the Gorgas Park scene before the rain.
