A family trip to the shore gets sticky for Philly parents nabbed in beach thefts

A Philadelphia couple faces theft charges for allegedly stealing items from the bags of beachgoers in southern New Jersey.

North Wildwood police say 36-year-old Kelly Costanzo and 39-year-old Larry Hall also face child endangerment charges because their three children were with them at the beach on Saturday.

When police arrived, lifeguards were already with Costanzo, who was then taken into custody.

Hall had fled the area before police arrived. But he was later found in neighboring Wildwood, and authorities say he had $500 cash and a cell phone that had been stolen at the North Wildwood beach.

Hall’s bail was set at $35,000 cash, while Costanzo’s bail was set at $25,000 cash. It wasn’t known Monday if they have retained attorneys.

The couple’s three children — ages 6, 9 and 12 — were turned over to a relative.
