8 suspicious fires in north Philadelphia spark investigation

Early this morning eight parked vehicles were set aflame in the Olney section of Philadelphia. It appears as though the vehicles were doused with flammable material and lit on fire.

ABC 6 reports that the Philadelphia Area Arson Task Force is investigating with the help of federal authorities. It’s unclear who owns some of the vehicles, though neighbors report that some of them seemed to have been abandoned.

Firefighters quickly extinguish the fires, and no one was injured.
