5th District: Man attacked on Fountain Street

100 block Fountain St.  – complainant said three offenders attempted to mug him on the street. He said the trio surrounded him, punched him in the face and body and asked him to give them everything he had. The offenders then fled after police saw the incident unfolding. One of the offenders was arrested. The other two escaped. Nothing was taken.

5600 block Houghton St. – four tires were stolen from a 1997 Honda at approximately 8:30 p.m. on May 17.

May 19, 2011

300 block Kingsley St. – four tires and rims stolen from a 2007 Honda Accord between 12 p.m. May 18 and 9:30 a.m. on May 19. Complainant said the car was left on crates.

May 20, 2011

4000 block Boone St. – iPod and $20 stolen from a 2004 Honda Civic between 7 p.m. on May 19 and 9 a.m. on May 20.

5200 block Vicaris St. – jewelry, laptop and $200 stolen from the property, but later recovered. An officer returned to the scene after prints were taken and saw footprints leading to a wooded area. After a search, the officer found the offender, who had fallen and broken a leg. The officer also found a backpack containing the stolen items.  The offender was taken to the hospital and arrested.

100 block Haines St. – TomTom GPS and a Fuji camera stolen from two cars between 11 p.m. on May 19 and 10 a.m. on May 20. The two cars were a 2004 Chevy Impala and a 2004 Jeep Cherokee.

4100 block Churchview St. – Garmin GPS and a pair of designer sunglasses were stolen from a 2007 Mercedes C230 between 12 and 8 a.m. on May 20.

7100 block Henry Ave. – shoulder bag containing a debit card, ID card, bank account info and a wallet containing a debit card, ID card, SS card and $50 were stolen from a 2005 Toyota Corolla. The complainant’s daughter said the incident occurred between 9:30 and 11:20 a.m. on May 20. A total of $463 was taken using the debit cards.

400 block Hermit St. – 2007 Suzuki GSXR motorcycle stolen between 11 p.m. on May 20 and 8:30 a.m. on May 21.

100 block Sumac St. – complainant said that his ex-girlfriend walked into his residence, broke his laptop, bit him on the right arm and fled with his cell phone.

4400 block Main St. – iPod Touch, Blackberry cell phone, a set of house keys/car keys, various credit cards and $80 stolen from the property. Complainant said the items were inside of a bag she left on the back of a chair at a bar. She said the items were taken between 1:50 and 1:55 a.m. on May 21.

6300 block Ridge Ave. – Toshiba laptop, $300 and 36 prescription pills stolen from the property between 9 p.m. on May 21 and 12 a.m. on May 22.

May 23, 2011

4400 block Main St. – navigation system stolen from a 2005 Ford van between 12 a.m. and 2 p.m. on May 22. Complainant said the car is a Zesty’s work vehicle.

7900 block Ridge Ave. – iPod Touch stolen from the property between 4 and 5 p.m. on May 14. Complainant said her niece had a friend over at the time and when the friend left, the item was missing.

May 24, 2011

100 block Rector St. – complainant said someone knocked him to the ground during a chase that erupted after the complainant was told there was a theft inside the restaurant. The complainant ran after the suspected thief and was knocked down after the offender jumped into a white vehicle.

400 block Green Lane – complainant said her ex-boyfriend handcuffed her to a bed and raped her after she refused to make an apology. The offender then removed the handcuffs and fled the scene.

May 25, 2011

400 block Summit Ave. – backpack, eye glasses, study guides and $70 stolen from a 2009 Nissan Altima between 10 p.m. on May 24 and 7:20 a.m. on May 25. Complainant said he may have left the car unlocked.

400 block Domino Lane – 60 instant scratch lottery tickets were stolen from a newsstand at around 10 a.m. on May 24. The owner of the newsstand said someone took the items – valued at $5 each – from behind the counter.

4300 block Main St. – 81 pairs of jeans stolen from a clothing store.

May 27, 2011

400 block Paoli Ave. – complainant said someone stole $1,950 stolen from the property between 5:30 p.m. on May 24 and 9 a.m. on May 27. There were no signs of a forced entry.

May 28, 2011

6700 block Ridge Ave. – cash register containing approximately $100 was stolen from a diner at the location between 11:45 p.m. May 27 and 6 a.m. May 28.

5200 block Ridge Ave. – 2005 Suzuki GSXR-1000 stolen between 10:30 p.m. on May 28 and 9:45 a.m. on May 29.

7600 block Ridge Ave. – two laptops and a designer bag stolen from the property between 5:20 and 7:20 p.m. May 29.
