400 students take to the streets in anti-drug march in Darby

    Nearly 400 students hit the streets Friday in Darby Borough to send a message to anyone wiling to listen.

    The students took part in an anti-drug march through the streets of the borough, voicing their stance against taking illegal drugs.

    The Daily Times reports the students have marched for years, usually around the time of Red Ribbon Week, which is a national anti-drug initiative.

    On Friday, students dressed in red with anti-drug ribbons pinned to their shirts. The Daily Times says many of the students wore homemade hats and carried red and white balloons and posters.
