4-1-1

    Seems it’s been ages since Philadelphia established its non-emergency 3-1-1 line, essentially a complaint hotline for residents. But not everyone has gotten the message — or, at least, the whole message.

     

    The Daily News today has a rundown of 3-1-1’s craziest calls of 2010, and there are some good ones. We take pity on the city employees fielding these calls, which include:

    a request to fix a televion
    a request for the agent to dignose a plumbing problem over the phone
    a friendly caller who wanted to let the city know Boscov’s was having a sale
