This district covers lower West Germantown and East Falls as well as parts of Nicetown and Tioga.

4000 block Ridge Ave. – complainant said three offenders approached him in a parking garage, pointed a gun at him and forced him to take them to his apartment. Once there, an offender tied up the complainant, hit him on the head twice with an unknown object and burned him with a heated steak knife. The offenders stole a Blackberry cell phone, Rolex watch and a Gucci diaper bag.

5000 block Wissahickon Ave. – vehicle was stolen between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Jan. 14.

4400 block Wayne Ave. HP computer, 32” LCD TV, Playstation game system and a Nintendo Wii system stolen from the property. There were no signs of a forced entry.

2200 block W. Lippincott St. – complainant said an acquaintance pulled a gun on her and a friend and threatened to shoot them if they didn’t leave.

3200 block N. Newkirk St. – complainant said his ex-girlfriend stabbed him in the temple with a box cutter and fled following an argument. Complainant refused medical treatment.

 

Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011

5200 block Schuyler St. – 37” TV, three laptops, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, five pairs of sneakers and seven watches were stolen from the property. Complainant said he left his apartment at around 11:20 p.m. on Jan. 14. When he returned early the next day, the items were missing. The front door was locked and there were no signs of a forced entry.

2900 block N. 26th St. – various jewelry, bracelets and rings were stolen from the property between 2:30 and 5:30 p.m. Jan.15.

 

Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011

2200 block Ruffner St. – complainant said her son threw an unknown object at her forehead. Offender was placed under arrest and taken to the Northwest Detectives Division.

1600 block W. Hunting Park Ave. – a man was murdered. Police arrived to find the complainant on the ground with a gunshot in the back of his head. Two other men were shot while standing outside the location. Both went to the hospital and are in stable condition.

1600 block W. Hunting Park Ave. – cell phone and several CDs were stolen from a 2008 Ford between 9 p.m. Jan.15 and 11 a.m. Jan. 16.

1600 block W. Erie Ave. – complainant said an acquaintance raped her during a party. Complainant said the man led her upstairs to a bedroom so she could lie down after drinking too much. She awakened sometime later when the same man was on top of her.

2100 block Ruffner St. – police arrested a man after he was seen leaving the location with 27 steel railroad ties.

3100 block N. Croskey St. – two TVs and a Playstation game system were stolen from the property between 11 p.m. Jan. 14 and 1 p.m. Jan. 16.

 

Monday, Jan. 17, 2011

1500 block W. Erie Ave. – GPS system stolen from a 2000 Hyundai Elantra.

1600 block Dounton St. – complainant said his ex-boyfriend/roommate cut his left arm several times with a small knife during a fist fight. The two were fighting over the complainant’s cell phone. Offender was arrested.

3100 block N. 22nd St. – barbershop’s owner said two men entered with handguns and demanded money. Offenders stole more than $3,000 worth of cash and other items from several employees.

2600 block W. Allegheny Ave. – complainant said someone cut him twice on right cheek and right side of his neck while attempting to break-up a fight outside of his job. Complainant was taken to the hospital. Offender was gone when police arrived.

 

Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011

3200 block Scotts Lane steel beams, iron beams and hardwood bolts stolen from a business between 4 p.m. Jan. 17 and 7 a.m. Jan. 18.

1900 block W. Airdrie St. – 2007 Suzuki GPX13 motorcycle stolen. Complainant said she moved out of town Dec. 23. When she returned Jan.11 to retrieve the bike from her brother’s yard it was gone. The brother moved without telling the complainant.

3900 block Germantown Ave. – Complainant said his stepdaughter’s boyfriend shot him twice in his back. The complainant had been arguing with his stepdaughter before the boyfriend arrived. Complainant was taken to the hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011

Morris St. / W. Woodlawn St. – a man was found lying in the street shot in the chest. Police quickly determined the complainant was dead.

3000 block W. School House Lane Sony car radio and a GPS system stolen from a 1998 Honda Civic.

3000 block Judson St. – gold rings, silver rings, necklaces and an iPod were stolen from the property between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Jan 19.

 

Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011

2700 block N. 29th St. – complainant said his girlfriend pulled a knife on him during a fight over breaking up. Complainant was not stabbed but has multiple scratches on his face and neck.

2700 block N. Hollywood St. – 1999 Mercury Sable stolen. Complainant said his girlfriend saw a vehicle from their living room window at around 9:20 a.m. Jan. 20. Ten minutes later, she looked out again and the car was gone.

3100 block Pennock St. – complainant said her ex-girlfriend stabbed her on the left side of the stomach. Complainant was taken to the hospital.

3000 block N. 25th St. – 2006 Cadillac DTS stolen between 5 p.m. Jan. 19 and 7:30 a.m. Jan. 20.

3000 block Judson St. – complainant said an acquaintance grabbed her by the neck and choked her after she asked him to leave. Offender also tried hitting her with a stick.

2800 block N. Stillman St. – Dell laptop stolen from the property between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Jan.20.
