39th Police District Crime Blotter Feb. 25 – March 3

February 25, 2011

3100 block N. 30th St.  – complainant said he heard several gunshots while inside his 1993 Ford Thunderbird, then noticed the rear windshield was broken. He said he fled the location afterwards and notified police.

3100 block N. 30th St. – complainant said she heard a loud bang while sitting in the driver’s seat. She then noticed a car speeding on 30th Street and that her back window shield was shattered.

400 block W. Queen Lane – 1993 Plymouth Voyager stolen.

3300 block N. Gratz St. – complainant said an offender stabbed him in the right hand, forehead and lower leg with a knife during an altercation.  Offender, the boyfriend of the mother of the complainant’s son, was arrested and taken to the Northwest Detectives Division.

2800 block N. Newkirk St. – 32” TV, HP computer, 20 Playstation games and clothing stolen from the property. Complainant said he returned home to find the door unlocked. He said he had locked the door, but added there were no signs of a forced entry.

February 26, 2011

4200 block Kelly Drive – wallet containing various credit cards, $80 and an iPhone was stolen from a 2010 Lexus. Complainant said someone broke the driver side window.

3700 block N. Broad St. – cell phone stolen from the property. Complainant said someone took her phone while she was at a bar.

3800 block N. Smedley St. – complainant said he was attacked by 10 men. Complainant said he was thrown to the ground and punched repeatedly. The offenders ran off with the complainant’s iPhone. Complainant was taken to the hospital.

4500 block Wayne Ave. – complainant said someone stole the tires from his 1996 Chevy Suburban. He said he found the car on milk crates.

2700 block N. 24th St. – 2006 Land Rover stolen, but later recovered.  Complainant said he left the car running while he went inside a corner store. When he returned, it was gone. Police found the car several minutes later parked and unattended.

3100 block N. 16th St. – complainant said someone snatched her purse containing $300 and various ID and credit cards. She said the man grabbed the bag in the hallway and fled the apartment complex.

February 27, 2011

4900 block Knox St. – 1998 Volkswagen Jetta stolen.

3200 block McMichael St. – complainant said he heard two gunshots while he was driving at the location. Complainant then drove himself to the hospital. He is listed in stable condition.

February 28, 2011

1500 block W. Venango St. – GPS and Coach shoulder bag stolen from a 2006 Burgundy Honda Accord.

3000 block Judson St. – Nintendo DSI, Xbox 360 and two games stolen from the property. Complainant said she came home and found the rear kitchen door window broken and the items missing.

N 21st St. / W. Lippincott St. – stereo and drill were stolen from a vehicle. Complainant said he found his passenger side window and dashboard damaged along with the missing items.

1900 block W. Somerset St. – complainant said an offender walked up to her car while at a stop sign and attempted to pull her from the driver’s seat. A second offender then pulled a handgun from her purse and passed it to her accomplice, who promptly pointed at the complainant’s head. The complainant had struck the offender’s vehicle.

March 1, 2011

3200 block N. 16th St. – GPS, gear shift cover, middle panel, two TV headrests and a DVD player stolen from a 2004 Infiniti.

1400 block W. Erie Ave. – complainant said someone stole her wallet from her back pack while she was standing on the bus. The wallet contained $500 and various credit cards.

2500 block W. Allegheny Ave. – 2004 Cadillac SRX stolen. Complainant said she left her car running with the keys in the ignition while she headed into a Chinese store.

March 2, 2011

5000 block Erringer Place – Playstation 3, game, diamond necklace, laptop, Guess watch and iPod shuffle stolen from the property. Complainant said he came home to find his front door damaged and the items missing.

2900 block N. Ringgold St.  – complainant said an acquaintance was standing in front of his house threatening him over money the complainant borrowed from him. Offender then pulled out a gun and continued to threaten the complainant. He was later arrested at his home.

March 3, 2011

3300 block N. 16th St.  – radiators and pipes were stolen from the property. Police observed a man leaving the location with a radiator and two more men inside bringing two more radiators down the steps. Offenders were arrested and taken to the Northwest Detectives Division.

3900 block N. 17th St.   – 15-20 watches stolen from the property. Witness said she heard someone turning her bedroom door knob. When she opened the door, she saw someone walking down the steps. When the complainant came home, he noticed the listed items were missing. There were no signs of a forced entry.

3700 block N. Sydenham St. – GPS, iPod and tools stolen from a truck. Complainant said he was working at the property at the time.
