Sustainability Advisory Board members

Most of you probably saw the announcement for the Sustainability Advisory Board earlier in the month, but many mainstream news outlets did not list the Board membership.  This Board will serve as a leadership group that will assist the Mayor’s Office of Sustainability as it defines strategies and goals for developing a coordinated sustainability policy for the City of Philadelphia.  They are:

  • Anne Papageorge (Co-Chair) – Vice President, Division of Facilities and Real Estate Services, University of Pennsylvania
  • Carol Aichele – Chair, Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission and Chester County Commissioner

  • Nick DeBenedictis – Chairman & President, Aqua America, Inc.
  • Michael DiBerardinis – Secretary, Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources
  • Patrick J. Eiding – President, Philadelphia Council AFL-CIO
  • Raj Gupta – Chairman & CEO, Rohm and Haas Company
  • John Hanger – Secretary, Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection
  • William P. Hankowsky – Chairman, President and CEO, Liberty Property Trust
  • Feather Houstoun – President, William Penn Foundation
  • Hon. James F. Kenney – Councilman At-Large, Philadelphia City Council
  • Christine Knapp – Director of Outreach, PennFuture
