Runners from around the world converged on North Broad Street Sunday for the 35th annual IBX Broad Street Run.

The 10-miler kicked off Sunday morning in the Logan section of the city at Broad Street and West Fischer Avenue. Nearly 40,000 people turned out for this year’s race which made its way through Philadephia’s Center City, past City Hall, and ended at the Navy Yard in Philadelphia.

The 2014 winner, Mourad Marofit, 32, of Morocco completed the 10-mile run with an unofficial time of 47:07.

The IBX Broad Street Run is one of the most popular 10-milers in the nation and goes to benefit the American Cancer Society.
