Stranded travelers at Philly airport can only watch and wait

Travelers are stuck in airport hotels in since Philadelphia International Airport is shut down.

Ruby Molinar was among those stranded at the Airport Hilton. She says this was her first trip to Philadelphia.

“Our flights were canceled Sunday night and they were rebooked until Wednesday. This is the first time I’m facing this and it’s a little scary,” said Molinar.

Jeff Powell is in from Denver Colorado for his 20th High School Reunion.

“I’ve seen it before, I went to college in North Carolina got hit with a couple of hurricanes down there, I’m from Allentown and saw the aftermath of some hurricanes there. Just a matter of staying safe and warm and getting some food,” said Powell.

Most people appear to be following Powell’s advice. Highways at this point seem to be relatively free of travelers.
