Science Saturday: Lights and Lasers, November 22nd
Experiment and innovate with our new series of family activities: Science Saturdays! Stop by the fourth Saturday of every month for a new hands-on activity. Families work creatively together to solve a problem or make an improvement. Today’s activity explores the power of lights and lasers. Activities are included in regular admission and free for members. Hagley Museum and Library.
Rest, In Pieces, November 21st – 23rd
The death of a family member is never easy and seldom funny; nor is it easy to accept or deal with. Written by Los Angeles based comedy writer Steve Bluestein, Rest, In Pieces is a fresh dramatic comedy about a delightfully dysfunctional family. Join this seemingly never ending chess game as audiences voyeur into a family’s loss from three separate perspectives, with each of the three acts unveiling how two of the characters respond when the third leaves this Earth. Delaware Theatre Company.

Classical Piano Series, November 23rd
Part 3 of the “Three-Part Classical Piano Series”. The Smyrna Opera House has partnered with University of Delaware Piano Professor Delbeau. Students Robert Steinfeld, Kristen Akers, Tongtong Shan, AJ Baal, and Natasha Stollmack will perform classical-era arrangements for piano. The November performance is sponsored by Quentin Schlieder in memory of Henry Francis Stewart. Smyrna Opera House.
The Wizard of Oz, November 22nd & 23rd
Like so many girls her age, little Dorothy Gale of Kansas dreams of what lies over the rainbow. One day a twister hits her farm and carries her away over the rainbow to another world. Come join Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tinman, the Cowardly Lion and Toto as they embark on a quest to see the Wizard, who can help her return home. Schwartz Center for the Arts.
