Truck and Tractor Day at Winterthur, October 4th
Join us for the 3rd annual Truck and Tractor Day at Winterthur. Members, get a head start on the fun when we open at 9:00 am just for you! Avoid the parking hassles and let the kids climb on the farm equipment without waiting in lines, and then you’ll be ready for arts and crafts in the Brown Center when they start at 10:00 am! Kids are sure to have a blast during this fun-filled day with lots of outdoor activities. Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library.

Star Wars Reads, October 4th & 5th
Join local educators Todd Weller and Sarah Ferguson and a team of Star Wars fans for a very special weekend. The event will include crafts, trivia contest, character book readings, Jedi training, and characters. Make sure you come in costume — you may win a prize! Kent County Public Library.
The Lady Who Sees Angels film premiere, October 9th
Worldwide bestselling Irish author and mystic Lorna Byrne has sold well over a million copies of her autobiography “Angels in My Hair” and is printed in 50 languages. Independent television producer, and Delaware State University Professor, Ted Yacucci, found Lorna’s story so interesting, that he produced an hour long documentary titled, “The Lady Who Sees Angels,” about Byrne and the belief in angels across almost all cultures and religions. Schwartz Center for the Arts.

Wings & Wheels Fall Festival, October 4th
The event features a “Fly In” of vintage planes and a huge car show with classic cars, trucks and more, WW II Re-enactments, food vendors, craft vendors, musical entertainment, games and events for the kids. Sussex County Airport.
Read a movie: ‘The Minority Report’, October 8th
The Minority Report is an adaptation of Philip K. Dick’s short story of the same name. Directed by Steven Spielberg and set in Washington D.C., this science fiction-whodunit stars Tom Cruise as John Anderton, a detective in the year 2054 where Pre-crime, a specialized police department, arrests criminals before they actually commit a crime.
