2 Philly favorites in the running for ‘Best Sandwich of America’

Besides mouth-watering food an long lines, what do DiNic’s and John’s Roast Pork have in common?

Both are in the running to become the “Best Sandwich in America.”
Adam Richman, of the aptly named Travel Channel show, “Adam Richman’s Best Sandwich in America,” has identified the top sandwich from 10 regions of the country, plus two wildcard sandwiches.

Tonight, the winner will be crowned. And probably eaten.

DiNic’s, based in the Reading Terminal Market, is the leading sandwich in the Northeast for its pork and broccoli rabe meal. South Philly’s John’s Roast Pork is one of the wildcards.
