$2 million expansion for Wildwood’s ‘Splash Zone’ water park

    Let’s talk summer, shall we?

Soon enough, the weather will consistently be above 50 degrees, flowers will be in full bloom, the Phils will be winning (ahem) and one of Wildwood’s water parks will have a new feature.Splash Zone, the water park at Schellenger Avenue and the Boardwalk, will add a wave simulator. Known for its colorful slides and proximity to cheap parking, the 13-year-old park is getting a $1.9 million upgrade, according to the Press of Atlantic City, and it’ll be called the “Flow House.”

The attraction holds more than 58,000 gallons of water, and will also feature music, food and other entertainment. The simulator will provide riders with continuous waves, and it’ll be up and running in time for Memorial Day.
