2 events to block off portions of Kelly and MLK Drives this weekend

On Saturday, April 26 the Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation will hold its annual “Sandy Sprints 5/10 K.” It will start on the steps of the Art Museum at 8:30 a.m.

The following streets will be closed:

Eakins Oval: Westbound to Spring Garden Street Bridge and into the city from Southbound Kelly Drive

Spring Garden Street: (Westbound Only) Spring Garden Street Tunnel will be open to Westbound traffic

Kelly Drive: (Southbound Only) from Fairmount Avenue to Eakins Oval

These street closures will be in effect from 6 a.m. until approximately 1 p.m.

The March of Dimes is hosting their annual “March for Babies 5K Run and 4 Mile Walk” on Sunday, April 27. Beginning on the steps of the Art Museum at 9 a.m., the route will go north on Martin Luther King Drive. The 5K will turnaround just north of the Sweet Briar Cutoff and the 4 mile walk will turnaround north of Montgomery Drive, then turn around and proceed back to the Art Museum.

The following streets will be closed:
