18 members in outlaw Philly based motorcycle gang arrested

The Department of Justice on Tuesday announced 18 members of an outlaw motorcycle gang based in Philadelphia were arrested in seven states on an indictment alleging racketeering conspiracy.

According to a Department of Justice statement, the “Wheels of Soul Outlaw Motorcycle Gang,” which operated out of Philadelphia, constituted an “enterprise” engaged in racketeering activity as defined by the federal RICO statute.

A total of 15 gang members were arrested in seven states on racketeering conspiracy while three others were arrested on separate charges involving firearms violations.

“Today’s nationwide take-down has disrupted and dismantled the Wheels of Soul Motorcycle Outlaw Gang by targeting the senior leaders,” FBI Special Agent in Charge Dennis L. Baker said in a statement.
