Wednesday, Dec 15, 2010
2300 block 78th Ave. – 2010 Toyota Corolla stolen between 6 p.m. Dec. 14 and 8:15 p.m. Dec. 15.
800 block Vernon Rd. – computer and a GPS system were stolen from the property. Complainant said she had ordered the items, received a bill for them and was told they’d been delivered.
1500 block Beverly Rd. – complainant said an ex-boyfriend punched her in the face several times during a fight.
200 block E. Phil Ellena St. – complainant said her boyfriend punched her in the face and broke a front tooth during a fight. The boyfriend fled before police arrived. The complainant was taken to the Northwest Detectives Division.
6300 block Morton St. – complainant said his real estate agent threatened him with a gun as means of getting him to pay up on some unpaid rent.
5700 block Wayne Ave. – complainant said three men with ski masks entered the Save-A-Lot wielding handguns and look for money. The offenders made their way to a back room but were unable to leave with any cash. Most of the incident was recorded by store cameras.
300 block W. Duval St. – 2010 Ford Mustang stolen between 12 a.m. Dec. 14 and 9:30 a.m. Dec. 15.
8200 block Cedarbrook Ave. – complainant said someone stole all four of her tires from her car between 1-4 a.m. Dec. 15.
7100 block Anderson St. – Laptop software and a phone charger cable stolen from a 2005 Cadillac.
400 block E. Gorgas Lane. – cell phone stolen from a 2007 Volvo.
300 block E. Mt. Airy Ave. – Apple iPod and a GPS system stolen from a 2004 Saab.
Thursday, Dec 16
7800 block Temple Rd. – $500 was stolen from the property. Complainant said she had placed the cash inside a chair in her room. The only other person at the house was her granddaughter, who told the complainant she didn’t have the money.
500 block E. Penn St. – 2009 Volkswagen Jetta stolen at around 4 a.m. Dec. 16.
5500 block Heiskell St. – complainant said someone pulled a gun on her during an argument about his decision to drive in reverse.
6300 block Morton St. – complainant said she awoke with two men standing over her with guns. The offenders were looking for her brother, but also stole money from the sister. The offenders may have entered the home through a kitchen window.
Friday, Dec 17
800 block E. Washington Lane. – satellite radio, GPS system and a battery charger were stolen from a 2006 BMW a 2003 Toyota between 8:45 a.m. and 4 p.m. Dec. 17.
5700 block Wayne Ave. – employee at Dunkin Donuts said a man robbed the store at gunpoint. Witnesses inside refused to identify the offender.
6100 block Stenton Ave. – student at Martin Luther King High School said another student snuck up behind her and lit some of her hair on fire. The complainant didn’t see who did the deed, but school police will attempt to identify the offender.
800 block E. Washington Lane. – 2004 Toyota Rav4 stolen between 8:45 a.m. and 4:40 p.m. Dec. 17.
Boyer St. / E. Woodlawn St. – a man was murdered at the location. Police responded to a report of gunshots at the location. When they arrived they found the man lying on the ground with a gunshot wound in his back. He died a few minutes later.
4900 block Rubicam St. – complainant said someone stole various tools from his shed while he was in the hospital for a couple of days in August. The report is being filed now because his insurance company told him they never got the initial report.
400 block E. Washington Lane. – complainant said that two men pushed him to the ground and stole his transpass while he was waiting for the bus. The principle at the Roosevelt School knows the offenders.
Unit block E. High St. – laptop was stolen from Germantown High School. A teacher at the school said three students stole his computer and tried to pawn it a nearby shop. The property was later returned and the students were suspended.
200 block W. Walnut Lane. – complainant said someone stole the coin box and top from a washing machine at Wallingford Apartments.
Saturday, Dec 18
1000 block E. Chelten Ave. – Magellan GPS system and a Garmin GPS system stolen from a 2000 Ford truck.
7900 block Thouron Ave. – 1995 Mercury Grand Marquis stolen. Complainant said she let her son’s father borrow the car for the day Dec. 16 and that he still hasn’t returned it.
Unit block Herman St. – X-box gaming system, PS3 gaming system and $800 stolen from the property between 9-10 p.m. Dec. 18. There was no forced entry. The door may have been left unlocked.
500 block W. Mount Pleasant Ave. – 1991 Ford Ranger stolen. Complainant said he left his car at the location overnight and got a ride home. When he returned the next day, the car was gone.
6300 block Greene St. – duffle bag containing clothing, shoes, socks and other personal items was stolen from the property. Complainant said she left the bag on the elevator and that surveillance video showed unknown men take the bag while they were at the building delivering furniture.
8200 block Thouron Ave. – complainant said a man stole her 2007 Hyundai Sonata from her at gunpoint.
Sunday, Dec 19
7600 block Williams Ave. – Apple iPod touch and a Kodak camera were stolen from a 2008 Hyundai Elantra.
5300 block Chew Ave. – GameStop employee said someone ran out of the store with a Playstation 3 game system after he brought it to the counter at the offender’s request.
6100 block Germantown Ave. – pastor at New Bethel Church said someone stole a 1998 Ford Econoline van. He said one other person has the keys to the vehicle.
6900 block Germantown Ave. – complainant said someone stole his cell phone from his work station without permission.
8000 block Roanoke St. – silver Rolex watch, white gold ring and assorted sterling silver bracelets were stolen from the property. Complainant said he left the house around 3 p.m. Dec. 17 and returned around 12:10 p.m. Dec. 19 to find an upstairs bedroom ransacked.
Monday, Dec 20
6300 block Milton St. – complainant said she was carjacked in a parking lot.
Wyneva St. / Stenton Ave. – 1995 Buick Regal stolen.
6400 block Musgrave St. – Dell laptop stolen from a vehicle. Complainant said he left the car unlocked and running.
200 block W. Mount Pleasant Ave. – 50″ Panasonic flat screen TV stolen from the property between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. Dec. 19. There was no forced entry and her boyfriend’s cousin called the complainant to let her know that he would return the TV.
7100 block Chew Ave. – 16 pieces of cast iron were stolen from the property. Complainant, an owner of a moving company, said the iron was chained and locked together and was resting against the building at the location.
Tuesday, Dec 21
5500 block Ardleigh St. – Fed-Ex truck stolen. Employee said that someone snatched his keys while he was out making deliveries and drove off. He said there were approx. 100 packages aboard the truck that still needed to be delivered.
6400 block Sprague St. – safe and clothing were stolen from the property. Complainant said he returned from serving a short stint in jail to find his house broken into.
1200 block E. Stafford St. – pizza deliveryman was robbed at gunpoint while working. Police surveyed the area but couldn’t find the offenders.
100 block E. Chelten Ave. – complainant said someone put a knife to his back and robbed him while he was waiting for the train. Offender ran off with a computer bag containing flash drives, CDs and software.
8000 block Fayette St. – two laptops and an iPod stolen from the property. Complainant said his father has a drug problem and may have taken the items.
8300 block Woolston Ave. – 2004 BMW sedan stolen between 10 a.m. and 1:46 p.m. Dec. 21.
8200 block Germantown Ave. – laptop and a gold and diamond ring were stolen from the property between 2-4:30 p.m. Dec. 21.
