$1 million grant awarded to Camden’s Cramer Hill Community Develop. Corp.

Camden’s Cramer Hill Community Development Corporation has received a $1 million grant from the Department of Community Affairs to help build a community center.

The Gloucester County Times reports the money will go towards construction of the Ray and Joan Kroc Salvation Army Community Center in the city’s Cramer Hill Section on Harrison Avenue, between 18th and 25 Streets.

The new building, expected to be approximately 120,000 square feet, will serve as a hub for the Salvation Army services in Burlington, Camden and Gloucester Counties.

The Gloucester County Times says the new building is expected to be ready to open in the summer of 2012.
