1 dead, 3 injured when vehicle hit’s child’s wagon in Southampton, NJ

One child is dead and three others are in critical condition after their wagon was struck by a vehicle in Burlington County, NJ. 

Police say five siblings were pulling the wagon along Buddtown Road in Southampton when they were hit around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. Four were injured.

A 3-year-old died and three others remain at Cooper hospital.

Paul O’Neill tells WPVI-TV he and his wife heard a loud boom and he found two kids lying on the side of the street and a girl in the middle of the street.

Police say the driver stopped and it appears the motorist was driving the speed limit at the time of the accident. Police say the road lacks a real shoulder.
