Police say more than one person may be behind attacks

    Police are cautioning the public not to assume a string of attacks in the Kensington area, and a suspicious death they discovered Tuesday night, were all committed by the same man they suspect killed two women.

    Police are cautioning the public not to assume a string of attacks in the Kensington area, and a suspicious death they discovered Tuesday night, were all committed by the same man they suspect killed two women.

    Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey said a task force that includes members of the homicide and special victims units is investigating the crimes … to see if there’s a link.  

    “It’s very important that people remember that composite sketches are taken from witnesses and victims and while it could be similar, it’s not necessarily what an individual looks like,” Ramsey said.  “Also bear in mind, people can change their appearance relatively easily.  They can remove facial hair, they can grow facial hair.”

    Ramsey said police are digging through old cases to see if there were past unsolved homcides with similar circumstances.
