PA transportation bill passes

Listen

Guests:  John Micek, Peter Swan and Franklin Moon

Legislation to provide $2.4 billion a year in additional funds for roads, bridges and mass transit across the Keystone state just passed in the state House last night.  The bill failed to pass on Monday but after vigorous lobbying it passed by a vote of 104-95 yesterday.  We’ll take a look at the politics in Harrisburg around the legislation and discuss the state of Pennsylvania’s roads and bridges. Our guests are JOHN MICEK, editor of the editorial and opinion pages for The Patriot-News and PennLive, PETER SWAN, Associate professor of logistics and operations management at Penn State Harrisburg, and FRANKLIN MOON, an Associate Professor of Engineering at Drexel University.
