THIS IS A REBROADCAST.  Isabel Allende's recent novel is Island Beneath the Sea. It's set in Haiti during its turbulent colonial era and bloody slave rebellion at the turn of the 19th century. She spoke to Marty this spring  about this history, her life and her recent activities in Chile and Haiti.
