Hour 2
How do you administer aesthetics? Our guest, TIMOTHY RUB, has many challenges ahead since he began this fall leading the Philadelphia Museum of Art, one of the country’s biggest art institutions, with more than 200 galleries and an active exhibition program. How will he decide which exhibitions will work at the museum, and if they will attract the numbers of people to support them and future shows? Rub follows the impressive legacy of the beloved late director Anne d’Harnoncourt and he's also inherited the tension of the Barnes Collection that will be housed in the Art Museum’s shadow. Rub is the former director of the Cleveland Museum of Art.
