President Barack Obama and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, agree on the need to contain ISIS.   But there is a fundamental disagreement over the means to achieve that end.   Meanwhile, four years of civil war in Syria have claimed the lives of an estimated 250,000 people.
