‘Repair, don’t replace’ is mantra of Philly Fixers Guild

    Listen

The Philly Fixers Guild is a newly formed band of handy people who want to share their fix-it skills with friends and neighbors.

Founders Ben Davis and Holly Logan are volunteers with the organization Sustainable 19124/19134, where they’re always on the lookout for new projects that will green their neighborhood.

Their first free Repair Fair will take place Saturday from noon until 5 p.m. at the Sculpture Gym, 1834 Frankford Ave. Participants can bring items for repair such as small appliances, jewelry, computers and clothing. Experienced volunteers will help repair items as they each skills to the participants.
