Philadelphia’s Prism Quartet debuts ‘Cha’ by Julia Wolfe
ListenCall it a saxophone colossus — on Friday, the famed Philadelphia-based Prism Quartet will present world premieres of new saxophone quartets at the Curtis Institute of Music.
The program includes a composition by Montgomery County native Julia Wolfe, who won the 2015 Pulitzer Prize for “Anthracite Fields,” commissioned by the Mendelssohn Club.
