Patsy talks tradition at the Mummers Museum in South Philadelphia [video]

The lazy dog-days of summer are a great time for the mind to wander, and for some it wanders all the way to New Year’s Day.

It’s certainly does so for Leo Dignam, of the Philadelphia’s Department of Parks and Recreation and Director of the Mummers Parade. He’s considering shortening the route; instead of running south to north from Oregon Avenue to Market Street, it would run north to south, starting at City Hall and ending at Washington Avenue, leaving South Philly out of the parade route.

Joining us at the South Philadelphia Mummer’s Museum is our South Philadelphia corespondent, Patsy.

“Patsy” is a creation of Jennifer Childs, from all-comedy theater company 1812 Productions.
