Montgomery County dad Christopher Malloy wanted to give his three young daughters a memorable experience last week, so he hitched a couple of wagons to his riding mower and puttered two blocks to the girls’ school for pickup.

Malloy of Upper Dublin said he rode on the sidewalk — at an average speed of about 4 mph.

With his delighted daughters in tow, Malloy started to pull away — and that’s where he picks up the story as he told it to NewsWorks Tonight host Dave Heller.

UPDATE: The principal of Fort Washington Elementary School, Stephanie Hultquist, said in an email “All decisions made during this situation were done so with the safety of all of our students in mind.”
